Competitiveness:
R.E. Monks Construction competes for work in a low bid environment and we expect our Subcontractors and Suppliers to give us their best pricing up front. Subcontractors and Vendors can rely on the integrity of R.E. Monks’ estimating and business development staff. We strive to be sure that your scope of work is clear before the bid event closes so there is little need for negotiations after the fact.
Experience and Resources:
We currently don’t formally prequalify subcontractors and vendors, however we do consider each company to be a business partner when we are using their confidential pricing to submit competitive bids. In that respect, we may ask companies to provide certain financial and experience documentation before we enter into a contract or issue a purchase order.
R.E. Monks Construction is an open shop employer and general contractor. We don’t discriminate with regard to the union status of subcontractors, employees, or vendors.
Ethics:
R.E. Monks Construction does not engage in collusion, coercion, intimidation, or any fraudulent activity. We diligently practice good faith and fair dealings in all aspects of our business. Any activity that appears to go against this code of conduct should be reported immediately to a Company Officer. All reports will be investigated internally as appropriate.
